To people who have been to the live shows

How “worth it” is it? Like how much trouble/money would you go through to make it to one? Coming from the States, I’d be looking at a long flight to the middle of nowhere (like Saskatchewan) plus lodging. Was wondering if anyone who has been to a live show thinks it’s worth the added expense of going to Canada to see one, thanks.

I haven't been to one, but Kenny had a full recent-ish show on his YT as an unlisted video. Not sure if it's still there.

It's fine. I would not extensively travel for the show alone. If you can make a trip out of/have other reasons to travel, add it in as a side activity.

I'd be happy to go to one of their shows for about a 2 hour drive (or less) and $40 - $50, but more time/money than that wouldn't be justifiable (for me, at least).

I've gone to 2- the first was maybe 5 years ago and was great. They had great conversations and debate, and spenny gave a "prostate exam" to an audience members actual fully visible butt hole. The 2nd I went to a few years ago was just okay- the humor was a bit more forced and no gross humiliations. I think if you haven't met them in person then it would be worthwhile- however I think it's a toss up depending on their real life chemistry. Also they're getting old now.

Just reread your post and in short, no I would not fly out for a show (hut I also would never fly somewhere just for a concert or event in general). However, there's shows around Toronto, so you could make a tour of it if you're a big fan (Goldfields, 288 Sherburne, film locations, etc) as well as other Toronto gems if you have vacay money

I saw them in November and loved it so much that I plan to see them every time they come to my city. From what I've gathered, each show is a little different. So I suppose it can be a gamble. Though I will say that if I didn't live in a city that they tour through, I'd definitely travel and lodge to see them once.

Well if your coming to the Saskatoon Saskatchewan show let me know and I'll come meet you. (Expecially if you promise to bring your season 1 dvd insert!)

Make a little trip out of it if you're gonna do that. I would choose Saskatoon as the place to see them in Saskatchewan and then check out the city and find some other cool things to do while there. (I live there)

@WheezySparkz I actually live in Prince Albert and decided not to even bother coming to see them in Saskatoon. Maybe I'm a bad fan, but not sure if I want to see drunk bandana spenny and old entitled kenny perform a show. This is someone who watched every season as they were released on tv.

I think the reason is that I have watched a number of interviews and parts of old lives streams and really didn't enjoy it that much.

I think I realized I like the kenny vs spenny tv show, but not kenny vs spenny as personalities.

To OP: I would recommend watching some of the old live shows. There are bits and peices in the reddit plus on YouTube if you look hard enough (unless they got taken down which is possible). Then see if you enjoy them or not. The other thing you can do is watch some of the kenny and spenny interviews and see if you find them interesting. That would give you an idea of if it's worth it or not to go to the live show.

Also a note if your going to be booking a flight right now to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan try not to book a flight that goes through Toronto (Severely understaffed leading to delays or outright flight cancelations).

There's a big difference between watching clips on YouTube and actually being there and watching it live though. I was the same way, saw a few clips and decided not to spend my money because it just looked like Spenny yelling at the audience while Kenny recycled old jokes/insults from the show. But when I finally caved last year, being a part of the audience while Spenny started yelling at a lady fan in the front row for having a home made shirt ("so you were too cheap to buy it YOU FUCKING BITCH!!!") while having Kenny trying to calm him down/share super fucked up stories about Spenny that I'd genuinely never heard before (and I've seen the whole series+commentaries+Hotzcast+interviews more times than I can count, plus watched a clip of the whole live show they did in Barrie a few years ago) brought me right back to how I felt as a kid watching each episode as they aired. Even the Kenny jokes I recognized felt like I was watching a band playing it's greatest hits lol. But it was still a new experience that brought back immense nostalgia while still being genuinely extremely entertaining. I brought my friend who's actually not a big fan of the series and he said it was the funniest live show he's ever been to and wants to go again. I highly recommend it not to just every and any KvS fan, but every and any comedy fan as well. They are genuinely hilarious together on stage.
