Byun didn't have any inside knowledge on the fact that the change was accidental. For all he was concerned the map had been changed and he sought to exploit it. Players can and should use any method possible within the rules to achieve victory.
When every tournament map has neutral supply depots i don't think it's very hard to notice that something is wrong.

Poor Greg has been bunker and pylon blocked on his ramp to death when there was no neutral supply depots
that's the mindset difference between somebody going to the semi finals of gsl to a ladder grinder living in a frat house.
Just when people started to agree that Byun should have reported that they were playing the wrong map Idra comes in and backs them up, which of course means that everyone now has to think the opposite to Idra.

Byun used the layout of an official GSL map to his advantage. The only joke of a player here is Idra.
Actually it was a bug and there should have been a neutral depot, check front page of r/starcraft and there's a post about it
Doesn't make what I said less true though. Hell, even some of the GSL staff didn't know it was a bug, why would you expect the players to know it wasn't an intentional change?
Edit: My point is, the blame for all of this lies solely on GomTV, not on any of the players. TBH, I find it ridiculous that they dismissed Nestea's complaint while still saying it was an unintentional change to the map.
The fault lies indeed with GOM and imo the worst part is that they dismiss his claims because he didn't say anything in the game, only after -.-
