Where can I drop off my unwanted clothes(Downtown)?

Question

Doing some decluttering and have a few trash bags worth. Is there somewhere nearby I can get rid of them today? Prefer somewhere I can drive up to without going inside.

Salvation Army. Society of Saint Vincent de Paul. Goodwill.

Sundays are usually days they all close. Check out dropping things off Monday after work. I’d recommend Salvation Army at their family store, at 4121 Forest Park. Deliveries in rear of building, just drive to the back. Their workers will help you unload and will give you a receipt if you want one.

Sunday is a bad day to choose. Nothing taking donations is going to be open in the actual downtown.

Doesn’t have to be actually Downtown. Open to diving somewhere nearby.

There is a green clothes recycling bin in the parking lot of many city schools. I can’t speak for every one, but there is definitely one at Shenandoah in 3400 block of Shenandoah ave. Just west of Grand near Tower Grove Park.

You can drop clothes in Society of St. Vincent de Paul bins. They have a map of their locations on their site:

I've gone to drop stuff before and found them overfull, so maybe make a plan to visit a few drop spots before giving up. There are a bunch close to Downtown.

Maybe “House of Goods - Baitulmal” at 5911 Southwest Ave.

You can drop off donations and clothes behind the building by the garage.

Open Monday-Thursday 8-12noon, Saturday 9-2pm.

There are "usagain" drop-boxes scattered around the city. I used to live in Soulard and threw a lot of bags of clothes into the one box in the Vincent's grocery store parking lot

St. Patrick Center on Tucker. You can pull up back during the week and drop the clothes off with some workers there.
