I hear more used watches are selling at or near their melt value with the rise in the price of gold. Any models worth checking out? Have been thinking of buying some physical gold anyway but a watch sounds way more fun than some coins. My budget is around $25k.
I work in software implementation and recently had a client correct me after using their first name in an email greeting. In the corporate world it is extremely rare to be so formal. Is this normal? Seems pretentious and a bit of a power trip. The person in question works in eduction administration.
I am an American who has recently been hired by an Indian firm and am having trouble with the accent of some of my coworkers. I thought checking out some Indian media might be a fun way to speed up the learning process. What are some of your favorite television series, films, documentaries, podcasts, or YouTube channels featuring Indians speaking English? My interests include science/technology, finance, history, but am open to anything.
Looking for a vegan alternative. Any recommendations?
Mike Trout Finally Gets to Play in Meaningful Games—Just Not for the Angels
wsj.com/articles/mike-trout-team-usa-wbc-ange...I am constantly deploying AVD, and looking for a way to automate. Thinking of going Azure DevOps + Bicep, but don’t have much experience and I am unsure if this is the best path. How are you automating your builds? What are some good resources for learning?
Doing some decluttering and have a few trash bags worth. Is there somewhere nearby I can get rid of them today? Prefer somewhere I can drive up to without going inside.
I 37M sometimes worry whether the people I date are genuinely into me, or like that I meet their list of requirements for marriage. Occasionally have gotten the vibe of any generic tall white guy with a good career will do. Maybe it’s just part of the game in my late thirties. How do others people deal with this ? Leave my height and job of my profile? I tried that and got significantly fewer matches.
Also, to state the obvious I realize this is at least partially down to my own insecurities.
Tired of all my regular places, and want to try something new.
I have a customer looking to move from Veeam to Azure Backup as part of their datacenter migration to Azure. I have never used the platform, but it's my understanding that Veeam uses proprietary file extensions. Would they need to keep Veeam until the retention period on the old backups has passed, or is there to move the existing snapshots to a new provider(Azure Backup)? Are there any other considerations I need to take into account?
