E4 were airing it here as far as I know, and it was available on their player under catch-up terms (each episode kept for 4ish weeks post airing), but they were way behind the US Air dates, so the Netflix arrival is probably similarly behind the US.

I think this is one of the best clips to encapsulate the style of humor in the show, making it a perfect clip to use as a trailer. Not the funniest or most iconic cold open, but it shows you the dry sense of humor used, with good examples of how both the leads talk and approach the material, without giving away a plot point in the show and spoiling anything.
Using one of the more over the top cold opens like the babushka wouldn't be a good representation of the show's humor, and one like the backstreet boys is best left to be discovered during the watch of the show. Either of those, as examples, would be a poor representation of the show's style, and might give a wrrong impression.

I don't think so, the biggest joke about that one is how Holt breaks character and goes along with the game. If you don't know how Holt is and watched that scene out of context you wouldn't find it as funny

I honestly see this so much that it makes the scene less enjoyable. Same with How I Met Your Mother it always autoplays one of two clips from the first episode. Either “It was like something from an old movie. The sailor sees the girl across the crowded dance floor, turns to his buddy and says “See that girl, I’m gonna marry her someday”” or “Mom, Dad, I have found the future Mrs Ted Mosby”

Same, after I saw that scene turned into a 4 pic panel of the locker vs dumpster was what made me start watching.
Reddit also introduced Community to me back in 2011 when someone posted the Annie and Shirley as campus security where Annie maces herself. Such a great show
