My mum says that I am not allowed to be tired after coming back from the gym other wise she'll cut my membership

I am in my mid teens and i frequently go to the gym . I came back home after a push day and I was quite tired so I laid down on the sofa . The next morning my mum started interrogating me about why I was tired (probably thinks I am lifting too much) . After that she started shouting at me threatening to cut my membership if I ever came back from the gym again tired , and banned be from going to the gym 2 days in a row . This makes no sense whatsoever because how am I supposed to do excercise without become tired???!?!!?? For reference , the most weight I lifted yesterday was 40kg on the bench for reps to near failure not total failure and that was only for 3 sets , everything else was less weight or body weight . I can't explain this shit to my mum so what the hell am I supposed to do? My life is mostly boring and gym is the highlight of the day , without it I feel like I do nothing .

Get a job at the gym and pay for your own gym membership

Why is she upset about you being tired? Are you neglecting doing chores or school work because of it? In that case, you need to find a balance.

It's a rule that I finish all studies before leaving for gym (she makes sure I get it done). And I haven't failed to deliver with my studies , besides its the middle of the summer holidays and I'm still working 4-5 hours a day so I feel as though it's sufficient enough considering I don't game anymore and I'm only at the gym for and 1h30 max

That's crazy. You can't be tired? That makes no sense. Then tell her she can't be tired after a day of work/chores/exercise.

Although true, don't tell her that or you'll just make things worse for yourself lol

LOL true. Ask her to come spot you. Actually just ignore her. I bet it wasn't about you but something else was bugging her.

Ahhh man it sucks to see so many posts about parents using there power against there kids for no reason , I’m a dad and if my son wanted to go to the gym I’d be encouraging it! You should explain to her that there’s definitely kids your age out drinking / doing drugs/ having sex / smoking all shit they shouldn’t be doing yet your being punished for making your life more healthy and enjoyable? It’s the most backwards shit I’ve ever heard
