Help me out here in this paragraph from chapter "of Beren and Luthien.". ......

Finrod is talking with Beren, who has just come from Thingol's challenge..... "Felagund heard his tale in wonder and disquiet; and he knew that the oath he had sworn was come upon him for his death, as long before he had foretold to Galadriel."

What oath? Is this somewhere previously in the Silmarillion?

During the Dagor Bragollach, Beren's father, Barahir saved him. In response Finrod 'swore an oath of abiding friendship and aid in every need to Barahir and all his kin.'

He gave Barahir his ring as a sign of the oath, the same ring that Aragorn eventually inherited as a royal heirloom.

And he told that to Galadriel? Or she witnessed it?

End of chapter 15.

"It came to pass that Nargothrond was full-wrought (and yet Turgon still dwelt in the halls of Vinyamar), and the sons of Finarfin were gathered there to a feast; and Galadriel came from Doriath and dwelt a while in Nargothrond. Now King Finrod Felagund had no wife, and Galadriel asked him why this should be; but foresight came upon Felagund as she she spoke, and he said: 'An oath too I shall swear, and must be free to fulfill it, and go into darkness. Nor shall anything of my realm endure that a son should inherit.'
But it is said that not until such hour had such cold thoughts ruled him; for indeed she whom he had loved was Amarie of the Vanyar, and she went not with him into exile."

I believe she asked him about never having married, had children, or some such. He replied that the oath sworn would lead to his death, and he would have no kingdom to leave to his children (only mildly paraphrasing here, it's been a while since I read the relevant passage, and I forget whether it came from the Silmarillion or some other work)

Galadriel is Finrod’s sister. No reason why they couldn’t or wouldn’t have talked about it.

Duh. Yes. It's still a challenge to get these families straight.

Wait till you get to Gil-Galad haha. It’s still up in the air whether he’s From the house of Fingolfin or Finarfin..

ETA: corrected reference.

Yes he tells her this at the feast at Ivrin I believe. One of the rare examples of foresight not right before death.

"Now King Finrod Felagund had no wife, and Galadriel asked him why this should be; but foresight came upon Felagund as she spoke, and he said: 'An oath I too shall swear, and must be free to fulfil it, and go into darkness. Nor shall anything of my realm endure that a son should inherit.' "
