I'd like to paint you

I’d like to paint you,
sitting on a chair,
but I don’t have the skills,
to show your burdened body’s beauty,
nor the brushstrokes,
for the tangled mess of your soul,
nor the metallic spikes,
for the sharpness of your eyes,
nor the hundred black pastels,
for the darkness of your shadow,
but I’d love to paint you,
with or without the chair.
