$18M is chump change. Mark Cuban sold broadcast.com to Yahoo for $5.7B. It's now a parked domain.
So Yahoo will spend $5B parking a domain, but won't spend $1M buying their competitor?

checks notes..."Yes"
I will never feel bad about an impulse buy ever again.
Nyoppppee.. not at all.
Not since we offloaded our cert renewals certbot and letsencrypt.
Yes. Every damn year I forget at least one service :)
Not the ldaps though, that's letsencrypted for now :D
Lots of them.
Nowadays I just got a script reminding me of them (we don't have the appropriate tools yet for that)
I think being told your connection is not private when connecting to 'the internet' is highly symbolic and should be kept exactly the way it is :)
No, but my IT Manager has.
How do you even miss them now of day with cert bot and everything?

There is absolutely noone using that website, and the only content appears to be a single page promo that probably hasn't changed in forever. There's basically no consequence on this expiry.
Or, be Microsoft and break Azure AD authentication two years in a row because your certificate expired on February 29 because you created it on a leap year.
