those lines, my body
forget those lines hidden beneath our skin
they circle around our bodies and intersect in strange places
they are the domain of computers and dreams steeped in the art of zeros and ones
we must trust those lines without giving them any thought
oh my body my body
it is a sinuous kite that I toss into the air with hopes that some zephyr will hold it aloft
how much string should I let unwind from this spool into the firmament
will it hurt if I lose the air-stream and plummet headfirst into the sandy beach
forget those lines hidden beneath our skin
but pay attention to where they intersect with other bodies and minds
we are useless without collision and the transfer of energy
the richness of your gravity draws my lines towards yours
oh my body my body
it has a tenuous hold on a high current and trembles against every force upon it
for now the wind has no end nor has this spool nor has the expanse of my joy
but oh I remember those lines
I release too much string
my body slips away
