[1741] Twenty-Nine Steps, part 1.

Hi guys,

I posted this a couple months ago but then revised it. This is part of a novel. My novel is structured in such a way that one longer story is told through a series of short stories. I guess you could call them chapters, but each one has it's own title, etc. Point is, this doesn't stand alone.

In my opinion all feedback is good feedback. And I am not easily offended by criticism either. I can take harsh critiques. So please don't be afraid to hurt my feelings. Harsh critiques are usually the most helpful.
