There’s a reason for why all this shit is happening to us

This is why you are anti work

We are subject to the result of a ‘school of economics’ that wants to give everything to the owner class, that denies everybody working from the benefits of their labor and that changes the rules to fit their own best self-interest at the horrific cost and detriment of all of our lives.

There is nothing accidental about it, there are no coincidences, there is no chance involved. It is planned, deliberate and pervasive and it will never stop until we rise to fight it.

Posted here because it is as quintessentially antiwork as it gets. It is the very definition of antiwork because it sees working people as leeches at worst, and slaves at best.

If you had any doubts about it at all, everything you did and think about the dehumanising effects of working in corporate America are entirely justified.

Share this far and wide because it’s a message that needs to be heard by all of us.

Chilling.

“MacLean interprets his discussion to mean that people who “failed to foresee and save money for their future needs” are to be treated, as Buchanan put it, “as subordinate members of the species, akin to…animals who are dependent.’”

Do you have your education, health care, and retirement personally funded against all possible exigencies? Then that means you.”

I think the real counter argument here is the golden rule. So take the advocates of this line of thought and stick them into some form of shit work and shit living situation where they are "induced" to "pick themselves up by their boot straps". The work should be mindless, repetitive, and in a uncomfortably hot environment. then hit them with a big set back. If they get violent, life imprisonment. If they make it out we see if they are still advocates.

They aren't even shy about announcing how upsetting it is that some of our lives improved in the aftermath of Covid. Get them back to the office! We need to bring wages down!

It also means that they understand how precarious their own position is.

“If it bleeds we can kill it."

This is why change is necessary, and anyone in a position of power that is aligned with these beliefs needs to go.

I could not agree more.

We were thought to obey our masters and be good little workers, working for the company and the boss. To take a bright mind and mold it to become a nuclear physics, but to suppress any thoughts as to how their skills will be put against humanity.

I must say living in Tennessee I certainly feel this influence is alive and thriving here today.

Capitalism is feudalism rebranded. Billionaires are the new lords now. The rest is just propaganda.

it's even deeper than that, brother. From a shear economic stand point the the guard-rails that kept it all bouncing along were ripped off back in 1999. The repeal of Glass Steagal (look it up, learn something weird) opened the way for interests with massive amounts of money to legally bribe more and more government representatives. This was still technically hard to do as every company subsidiary was still being addressed legally as a single entity enjoined with its parent company. Then a short 3 years, 2 sky scrappers, and 1 supreme court ruling later, viola! A COMPANY IS A PERSON! And from a legal standpoint essentially every subsidiary company was seen as separate offspring from their parent companies, complete with their own individual liabilities and rights under the letter of law. So now, If Fox wants to donate the max amount to INSERTPACHERE and Searchlight films decides to do the same, that's just fine. The truly sad part is that sounds like I'm blaming republicans, I'm not. Certain Democratic figures with various forms of what normal people call 'Conflicts of Interest' saw to it that their own interests were taken care of at the cost of regulations meant to protect us all. Democrats were the guys who brought the weed to the party. Republicans got their first hit and went immediately on a pcp-laden coke-bender. Can't blame them for goin harder once they saw everyone else was doing it. Edit: Koch-bender
