I was sneered out of the house for suggesting an Assassin’s Creed game set in feudal Japan during the era of the Samurai and the ninja. “Too obvious”, “Ubisoft isn’t going to do it” “Too cliche”.

Guess what, bitches! It’s happening. A new online version of Assassin’s Creed is going to play in, you get three, count them: THREE guesses!

Oh, who am I kidding, here you go: Assassin’s Creed Codename Red

This is why you are anti work

We are subject to the result of a ‘school of economics’ that wants to give everything to the owner class, that denies everybody working from the benefits of their labor and that changes the rules to fit their own best self-interest at the horrific cost and detriment of all of our lives.

There is nothing accidental about it, there are no coincidences, there is no chance involved. It is planned, deliberate and pervasive and it will never stop until we rise to fight it.

Posted here because it is as quintessentially antiwork as it gets. It is

A few years of people coughing in public places and companies price gouging raises inflation. Now the FED is going to raise the rates.

The US has waged two wars of convenience for close to 20 years, resulting in a net loss, to the projected tune of $7 trillion dollars.

Nobody even mentioned inflation as a concern in all that time.

Now the markets are shitting their pants because the rates went up slightly.

Is anyone in control not on drugs or do I simply not understand how the world works [which I would readily accept, you can point it out, you don’t even need to insult me for it (but don’t let that stop you if you want to though)].

Minimum wage hasn’t even gone up yet.

Apple is making more waves in gaming using its M3 Metal API.

The first game Greg showed was not mentioned by name but it showed the Sisters of EVE Astero frigate.

It might hold promise for the future?

Hi

Scrivener 3 on the Mac.

I want to compile the document to PDF such that each chapter starts with the chapter title on a new page.

I’m prodding through the interface, I can’t make it do that. It’s frustrating.

Any suggestions are warmly appreciated.

This is a crosspost from r/antiwork [my own post there]:

  1. Hussle
  2. Every time you make about $320ish bucks, you buy 1 share of Goldman Sachs
  3. Current dividend on a share of Goldman Sachs is $8.00
  4. At about 40 shares, the combined dividend pays for 1 share [share price dependent]
  5. You keep adding to shares you have, using the dividend to pay for more shares over time
  6. At about 1812 shares [stock price depending, dividend depending] you make minimum wage [if minimum wage increases: just add more shares]
  7. When you have enough shares, the dividend yield is minimum wage, 4 times per year
  8. 3/4 of that money you use to live, 1/4 of that money goes to buying more shares

Our lord and saviour Jim Cramer has told us, time and again, that panic is not a strategy. We can thank him for this trope and for his infinitely wise enjoinder, it would certainly have saved my ass, of taking profit.

Everybody, like the retarded apes we all are, is shitting their pants because the house is finally coming down.

Once again referring to Jimmy Chill, the man who has YOUR best interests at heart: there’s always a bull market somewhere.

The question that entertains our spirits today should not be how fast can we pull out of the sinking ship, the question is: who is making money even in this freak show of a market and how do we make a profit off of it?

The Fed could crash the

I’m currently completing the reading of this book.

I bought it in 1993, I’m finishing it this year. Then I can finally move beyond that one and go to other books.

The book expands on recursive sets. How Godel’s mathematics, the art of Escher and the music of Bach are built up out of several layers. These layers are deeply interconnected and Douglas Hofstadter explores how these are systems that have their own grammar about how they talk about themselves and the world.

Exploring this work is, to me, quite a challenge but it shows how recursive sets occur ‘in nature’, that is: all around us and using higher order sets: which rules govern the world, the macro world as well as the micro world

I’ve been writing a novel for years now. I’m so close to completing it, I just need to tie down a few loose ends and it is so unbelievably hard to get myself to do that :-(.

I could do it over the course of this weekend, but I’m now in full procrastination mode.

Somebody kick my ass and tell me how to get out of this tail spin.

Thank you!

I have no idea what this is, but I can feel the frothing force of the creativity of Reddit and Redditors. I want to contribute, I want to be a positive force. But: I don’t know how this is supposed to work, I don’t know what to do.

Some caring soul, someone out there ready to reach out a hand in support, I beg of you most humbly: help me!

I’d appreciate an honest insight.

The Fed is going to announce rate hikes next month. There’s no doubt about that. We don’t know how much it will be exactly but they will be there.

When the interest rises the cost of paying debt increases.

TSLA has a P/E of 174+ [if Yahoo! is correct]. When the interest rises, how is TSLA not going to tank an ungodly amount?

For the first time I’m tempted to buy PUTs although I’m pretty sure, with my luck [i.e.: I have no luck] 60 seconds after I buy puts TSLA jumps to 5000 dollars/share.

I know and appreciate the general vibe of this subreddit, I would still appreciate an honest perspective by someone who can explain it like I’m a 5-year-old still
