How quickly does a match light
How fast does timber burn
How long will the bridge between us take
To leave only ashes in it’s wake

Do I cross one last time
To check on you
To see if you are fine
Or is the strike of the match loud enough

Do I say goodbye
Do I say see ya later
Do I cry
Do I dance to the rhythm of the flame

Do I burn it down to save myself
Do I move on so I can let you go
Never to look back again
Or do I stay and fix the bridge
