Green-Blue

Poem

Green

—————————————————————————————

I see the large pines, their branches swaying with ease.

I hear the wind rustle leaves, the ground in a swirl of colors.

I smell the streams, brimming with life.

I taste the spearmint gum i like, its sweetness soothes me.

I feel her hand in mine, love in my heart.

—————————————————————————————

I see the moss on the rocks, growing on the unliving.

I hear the water falling, like a symphony.

I smell the campfire smoke, a distinct hickory scent.

I taste her lips on mine, a romantic gesture.

I feel her head on my shoulder, resting her beautiful face.

—————————————————————————————

I see the pigeons, flocking together for warmth.

I hear the sound of echoes, distant yet close.

I smell her perfume, but it’s strong now.

I taste her chapstick, oily as can be.

I feel her glare, something is wrong again.

—————————————————————————————

I see the sky, filled with wispy clouds.

I hear her crying, an excuse to destroy me.

I smell lies, like the ones she swore against.

I taste blood, from biting my gums with anxiety.

I feel her disconnect, another is on her mind.

—————————————————————————————

I see her look away from me, deceit is her game.

I hear her voice, abuses radiate it.

I smell someone's cologne, it ain’t mine.

I taste the end, it’s an acid that burns.

I feel agony, as I watch her fall in love.

—————————————————————————————

I experience the green, only to have her darken its shade.

—————————————————————————————

Blue
