I'm finally out and in university

[Happy/Funny]

I made it out! Of course that doesn't mean I'm fully independent and free...but it's a step towards that. Oddly enough, I feel no anxiety here. My roommate and I are making friends (my mom told me my roommates would dislike me). Doing things before without being surveilled all the time makes it fun. I feel the happiest I've been.

This is wonderful news!

I bet your mom wanted to stop you from making friends at all and that is why she said your roommates would dislike you. How silly of her, because you are clearly making friends and having fun exploring your new life. Perhaps she was projecting, because of the two of you, she is the one most likely to annoy her roommates.

I hope that you have many wonderful adventures. This is the start of growing independence for you, and it will be glorious. I wish you much enjoyment and success.
