I Wish I Were A Cigarette
I Wish I Were a Cigarette
I wish I were a cigarette
So you could set me on fire
And I could linger on your breath
I wish I were pocket sized
To offer brief respite
From your hectic life
I could be there with you
When you drink your coffee
Taking time to cherish you
As the sun warms us both
Peaceful mornings offering
Silent and tender regrowth
I would rest between your fingers
Take a few moments of your time
And relish that small forfeiture
I can’t have you to myself
So I wish I were a cigarette
More than anything else
I wrote this because the person that I like got really busy and I can’t see them as often. Im kinda sad about it but I hope in a few months we can pick things up again. If not, at least the heart ache is helping me write
