When The Light Turned Green
Even to this night, I keep on wondering if our walks crossed too early of a time.
If the light turning green was never a sign for us to steal glances and briefly had our hearts skip.
That probably, it was only a light attempting to tell us to go.
That time wasn't at the keeper's hand, yet without a compass you came to me like a sailor's best.
You almost made me forgot we were in partial fulfillment of something cliché,
because your eyes I could have sworn had a promise to catch me the north star, or the
creatures at the midnight zone of the sea, and everything I wasn't suppose to imagine.
Until the vehicles blared and begin moving, I missed the red light but you're not here. The north star remained still, the sea hid its creatures again.
Everything I was suppose to imagine vanished, your heart turned a faint call I cannot hear.
Perhaps, we're too late.
Or maybe, too much.
