Trapped Feminity
Another dawn, another sigh,
Another day with its lows and highs;
Though everything on the surface seems calm and quiet,
Within the mind and soul rages a terrible fight;
The female inside yearns to be free,
She wants to come out for there is a world to see;
She is elegant, intelligent, charming, and kind,
Yet she remains chained within, and the world remains blind;
Society, with its obstinacy on gender and rules,
Has made humanity cruel and behave like fools;
Society has built these rules on the gender it can see,
But remains ignorant of the true gender and the chained feminity;
The woman inside is fighting to come out,
She wants to show the world what she is about;
But society would not let that come to pass,
For if she does try to break free, society will ridicule and harass;
So feminity remains chained a bit longer,
And she searches for a way to emerge stronger;
Society’s short-sightedness makes her wonder,
“Will coming out be a blunder?”
Feminity stays trapped by chains of doubt and fear,
Yet she still tries to break free year after year;
Finally, she realized that society had her wrapped in doubt,
And ignoring society’s jibes would help feminity break out;
All she needed was a few people who she could trust,
And trapped feminity can walk free and leave her chains to rust.
