Alleviating The World’s Core
I can explain it, From start to finish. As the light bulb flared over head, Or perhaps the sun has finally shined down upon me and my plight.
I can see it, Where it all went wrong Not exclusively to myself Not exclusively to the child that has gone years neglected.
I’ve played a role in my own demise, And deserve a Oscar for such a stunning performance. But no more, shall I sabotage myself and those around me.
I sought out what I desire, but never asked myself, is it truly what I wanted? Will it truly give me what I need to feel accomplished? Will it truly make me feel loved? The answer is rather simple.
I am flawed, Imperfect, Negligent of my own being, but it doesn’t have to be this way. Always I shall be flawed, but the cracks can always be mitigated. Always I will remain imperfect, but improvement can always be a attestment. But I do not have to remain, the one abandoning myself for others.
Not for love, Not for validation, Or to prove my worth. But simply for the fact, there can only be one person in this shadow, and I shall cradle it till the sun’s departure.
