To a younger me.
I’m writing this to a younger me,
A me whose only care in the world,
Was of how much to eat and how long to play
A me who, like a puppy dog,
Lived only in the now
And forgave unconditionally.
I’m writing this so that a younger me might know,
That I appreciate everything you’ve done for me
And although you may not know it,
You’ve given me all that I have,
And I thank you.
So if a younger me should happen on this note,
I want him to take away this one message:
Keep being how you’ve been.
Grow tall like a beanstalk and touch the clouds.
And always remember in the back of your mind,
That you are the creator,
And that your creation loves you.
