Losing the part of me that once smiled at the world.

Giggling whilst playing in fallen leaves, the face of excitement jumping in puddles , and walking along icy paths.

Bare foot on the grass playing under the hose, when the only pain I felt was grazing my tiny knee.

now, the pain is in my heart.

It’s all I’ll ever know.
