1821+ DSM 7.1 Info Center > General is blank

I have a new 1821+ that I've spent the last week setting up, on DSM 7.1-42661 Update 4. I put in the following memory:

64GB Kit 2x32GB DDR4-2666 PC4-21300 ECC SODIMM 2Rx8 Memory Upgrade by NEMIX RAM

I ran a (12+ hour) memory test, no errors. System seems to be running normally. However under Control Panel > Info Center > General the page is blank. The other tabs (Network, Storage, etc) all work but not General so I don't have access to that information.

Is this just a side effect of using unofficial memory? Or is this a sign something's potentially wrong? Thanks in advance.

EDIT 10/6/22 In case anyone finds themselves with a similar problem, I believe I found the culprit. I have a Western Digital MyBook attached via USB to the NAS. I discovered the NAS didn't show anything attached and my partitions weren't available, so in a final attempt to see if the memory was the problem I unplugged the USB drive and tested each memory stick one by one. The NAS booted up without issue AND the General page showed up and wasn't blank. With both memory installed there were still no problems and everything was working correctly. I don't know why the USB MyBook failed or stopped initializing but this seems to be what caused the issue. I plugged it back in and haven't had the issue since, I'm going ~5 days uptime now. Thanks all.

I have third party memory in my DS1821+ on DSM 7.1.1-42962 Update 1.

This page shows all information properly.

I don’t recall it ever having any issues for me.

I will let others chime in on what the issue could be.

reset button is my guess . as i don't know if these monsters have a cmos battery

Do you mean a factory reset, ie I lose all my settings/packages? I've tried turning off and back on a few times, no change.

try clear cache of the browser or try different browser

and if you use adblocker addon, white list the nas

and you can also update the nas to 7.1.1 to see if it's fixed

Good suggestion, also tried on both Windows/Mac in Safari, Chrome, Edge, no change. DSM isn't showing a newer version to update to, I'm guessing because of staged rollout? This is what the info center looks like: https://imgur.com/a/zZeaq7C

I will test w/ firefox as well.

but ya you can always do manual update, Version: 7.1.1-42962 Update 1 is the current latest

also if you think it could be ram issue, try install 1 ram module at a time and see if the issue persist.

Manually updated to 7.1.1-42962 Update 1 and on system reboot it had the blue blinking power light, which I read is not a good thing. Waiting 20 minutes and it still was blinking so I powered off and back on again and it's working. Says health is okay, no alerts or error messages.

With all of this happening after I changed the memory from the 4GB Synology to 64gb, I'm guessing I should put the original memory back in and return this if the system isn't stable. Which is unfortunate because I liked having the larger memory.

it happens, sometimes it's just 1 of the stick, sometimes it's both sticks. even had a ram stick fried my laptop before.

maybe google to see if there is a list of unofficial ram supports the 1821+ and good luck
