Yes it does. I am a huge coffee drinker. I usually have a minimum of 3 cups lol

Nope I submitted when I was half a sleep. I wasn't aware my format was off. Thank you :) also I am glad I was able to give you wholesome when you needed it.

God bless, I needed something wholesome and this was just the poem. I’m curious if this was how it was intended to be formatted as some lines have capitalized letters popping up right in the middle. If you’re going for a new line you have to hit space twice and then return. If not just ignore me and give Murphy a pat for me.

You had a rough start in this world  

You were treated very bad 

As soon as I seen your picture  

It was you I had to have 

Those eyes harbored sadness
  
I could see you were hurt 

You were timid and afraid
  
Would probably run under skirt 

It took some time but you warmed up
  
We spent so many hours earning trust 

From cowering and trembling 
  
A new confidence grew 

Heart of a lion if need be
  
Or one gentle and with care to 

You became my best friend
  
An honest connection 

My dog Murphy, a true bond
  
As far as family goes, he is perfection
