Freefall
Worn is the one, withering away,
Crippled and crying, death held at bay,
A life but a tease,
As short as you please,
Begging and wishing for a soul put at ease.
Looking to live a long, loving life,
Instead it was filled with stress and with strife,
The fog hadn’t lifted,
Time never shifted,
Sand in the hourglass, perpetually sifted.
Unfortunate now, fate would be made,
Turning and tumbling, pressed as he prayed,
His choices were chosen,
Falling into the ocean,
The mind and the body, eternally frozen.
