All I really needed to know I learned in Sith Kindergarten: How to group up and take turns...

Not even a Dark Lord of the Sith would dare cut a line. You just don't do that shit. Mama didn't raise no fool.
Yeah, actually one of the guys in that screenshot -- Kuzor, may he be forever reviled -- totally did sneak up and ninja the mission terminal to "cut in line".
There was a suggestion (OK, it was me) that we all put him on ignore to ensure we wouldn't encounter him in a groupfinder ever again. Which was promptly implemented by most of the imps present...
Reminds me of the lines in Galaxies for Doctor buffs and Slicing. I miss the pre-lolightsaberallthepeople version of that game. :(
Canadians...
Followed by robot race cheating en masse and vicious taunting when somebody cut in line. X_X
I wish my server knew how to make lines, the sniffer droid was a clickfest yesterday, but the laser room seemed to have some order =)
Same here, on the first day the laser room wasn't that bad, and I got in a group with 2 others so we all got it. However, one idiot took 20 minutes to do the laser...
The droid on Dromund Kaas was not so great. I got there and 3 people were there already, I let them go first but then got 6 people come when it was my turn finally and they all tried to grab it from me, luckily I got it!
that.... wasn't shadowlands at 7AM this morning.... it was "let's park our big car on top of the terminal!"
They're English, they know how to queue.
Haha! That's cute x3
Doc buffs! 3500+ HAM for 10k!
The problem with trying that on this quest is that it is both empire and republic. So while I personally (and others I'm sure) would totally do it, there are always going to be on the other side who won't.
Heck there are people who will grief their own side.
You're right, there are always griefers and such, but sometimes all it takes is a couple /says to encourage people to group up to get it done faster. There might be people who don't know you can complete the quest in a group. Of course, sometimes people just won't listen. *shrug*
Anyway, if people are standing in a line and cooperating it becomes more of a fun event rather than standing around bitching about the wait.
No such thing on Correllian Run. Giant clump of people all standing on and around the objects. Few people actually grouped. I got them both immediately though... Thank you G500 macro!
there was a guy on a large speeder covering our race controls..so it ended up a dogpile..and everyone had to zoom in to click the race controlls
i wish i could put up the picture of the drummond kaas quest yesterday, 197 people on the planet, and maybe 180 of them standing right on the crate.
Wish that had happened on Nar Shaddaa on the Harbinger.
There was a line... for a bit... then the Repubs starting crowding the console despite Imps and other Reps "saying" GET IN LINE!
So we all just collectively threw in teh towel and just started spam right clicking the console.
So much for cooperation.
Your server clearly needs more sunbros 8) http://media.photobucket.com/image/recent/QwarkyGFF/sunbros.png
I wish this is how Pot5 was last night. For both the droid race and the sniffer droid, there were constant calls for queues (from several people, including me), which were met with responses like "No, I've been here forever. Lines are for communists". Ugh. Props to you guys, though :)
Lol, everytime i get in line i just asked to group up and start inviting people. they catch on soon after. I've had better experience on with the imps the pubs tend to ignore you until it's their turn.
i had to /yell GET IN LINE last night. i was at the front of the line, then all of a sudden like 10 people show up and crowd around the terminal.
You call that a line? This was the line on The Ebon Hawk yesterday morning.
Took 20 minutes to get through, but general chat was very entertaining ("It's good we stand single file, it hides our numbers.")
The people of Ebon Hawk scare easy, but they will be back and in greater numbers.
I saw that same line yesterday evening, switched to a different DK instance, saw two other people about to go, asked to group with them, and completed the mission without having to wait. Why no one in that line was grouping up to go faster is beyond me.
No kidding. Or run an alt and come back later?
That's insane. MMOs with line formation... an indication of strong community, methinks!
Or an indication of awful game design.
Ha, well, that's definitely true. It reminds me more of the old days in MMOs, actually - EverQuest had similar issues with zone crowding and boss hoarding, but this was pre-instance, so everything was open to everyone.
In some ways, it's charming. But then someone with the name "TITSGALORE" comes along and ruins it for everyone.
god that is perfect for world PvP
Oh, I am so glad I hit that quest at an off time. Though this morning, the new one on NS was looking like that.
There is no way anyone could have anticipated this.
I play on that server, too, and that surprises me... I've been having problems with people stealing my missions and/or refusing to respond to requests to group up when we're obvious on the same quest all week.
That is a crazy line! The screenshot I took was from 4AM or so server time =)
We have had a lot of lines lately, but thankfully after people got used to it with the DK laser and droid everyone was onboard to do it for the race quest. Even better the community so far has just done it, and done it grouped up without line cutters for the times i've done it. Sucks if your server hasn't but glad our community has been respectful while we all patiently wait our turn.
