Doorbell with chime only on HomePod, and USB power

Question/Help

Does the Logitech do this? I have a netatmo wired with just usb and want to switch it out, reason being the netatmo is terrible (stability, speed & storage)

Yeah, though not really documented, this works.

Just connect the unit directly to the transformer, don’t wire in the chime module.

Thanks so you mean it can run just off usb power?

Oops, i missed the USB part, I was responding to the chimeless part. No, the Logi needs a lot of juice, needs to be run from a proper doorbell transformer

You’ll need to buy a 24V transformer.. I bought one at a local hardware store, or you can buy them from Amazon.

I got this one, stripped the wire ends: https://www.rona.ca/en/product/transformer-04355062?catalogId=10051&langId=-1&storeId=10151

This sounds like an IKEA shortcut button and an automation in HomeKit - or even using homebridge you can make it a “real” doorbell

If you have a “dumb” doorbell you can make it chime only HomeKit doorbell with Shelly relay
