Natures Carpet

Poem

There are geese on the grass

And they’re chewing fast.

Don’t know how long the

The lawn might last.

Now a deer or two

Has bent down

And started to chew.

Grubs munch from underneath.

Nature’s carpet can’t get no relief.

Setting the blades an inch or two lower

John pulls the cord and starts the mower.

The deer bolt, the geese honk and fly

As a little dandelion waves goodbye.
