'I Am A Survivor'

I am,

a survivor.

Drenched in my own blood.

Painting the rock beds red,

Striding limp to the summit of glory.

Shivering the Gods when I tell my story.

I'm the aftermath of all my battles.

Faced the worst whilst even death rattles.

Beaten, broken, and shrunken to bone,

I climb past these corpses all alone,

Neither am I strong, pious or wickedly wise,

Yet out of sheer persistence, I shall rise.

I'll drink the piss and eat my flesh,

Or change my name and start afresh.

I am the beckoning; the metamorphosis,

I am my desert, and even it's oasis.

I'll live past everything and even time,

Even if I have to commit every crime.

I am, a survivor.
