Ironically Britain leaving the EU was to keep out foreign undesirables who were crossing EU borders freely.

I guess the EU thinks border barriers can work both ways.

I guess the EU thinks border barriers can work both ways.

And why wouldn't they? They didn't vote for it.

47
JeremiahBoogle•

Yeah that's what they want you to think, the reality is that when an interdimesional race of reptile beings runs the world, they will go to any lengths to stop this visionary from exposing them.

Brexit is just to make you think you're in control, when the reality is your every choice is dictated by the unseen Babylonian Brotherhood.

Sheeple.

12
BUFF_BRUCER•

I don't think that was ever disputed

Would be pretty bad if they couldn't stop a dangerous conspiracy theorist from entering their country though

3
TheActualAWdeV•

this is a specific country specifically banning one specific person. Why are you talking about britain vs the EU, I'm missing the relevance.

-4†
WechTreck•

Britain/UK used to be part of the EU. Like American States, EU countries don't have internal border posts blocking travel.

Then the UK didn't want foreigners coming in the UK via the EU so the UK left the EU so it now treated the EU like a foreign country again.

Except that backfired and now the EU is treating the UK like a foreign country with customs posts and tariffs, and all the UK racists finding the EU is treating them the way they wanted to treat foreigners.

TL:DR so if the UK hadn't left the EU, EU-Belgium Netherlands couldn't have legally blocked UK citizen Icke.

Edit corrected Belgium to Netherlands

16
TheActualAWdeV•

The EU hasn't, Belgium didn't and the Netherlands still could have banned him regardless.

This is not an EU thing.

Edit to clarify 10 min later; he is banned, not blocked. It is illegal for him to be here, even if he physically manages to get here. If he shows up and does his looney rally anyway he can get in legal trouble, regardless of if he travelled from the UK, Germany or Alpha Centauri

16
Aceticon•

As a citizen from an EU nation, The Netherlands (or Belgium or any other EU nation) couldn't even have barred him from entrance (much less banned) unless under very specific conditions and he would've had a right of appeal all the way up to EU courts.

As the citizen from a 3rd party nation, the authorities of The Netherlands can - as they wrote in the letter they sent him - ban him because the Amesterdam Police read a report about him and determined that he might present a risk to public order. The police, not a Judge or Court of Law, and merelly based on a report which doesn't even have the same burden of proof as is required in most countries to get a court order for, for example, a phone tap.

The rights that EU-nation citizens have when trying to enter any EU nation are vastly broader than the average rights foreigners have in most borders in the World (which are commonly of the "down to the discretion of the border officer" kind, i.e. no right to enter).

8
ParanoidQ•

I mean, you're saying that like it isn't how it was designed to work in the first place, and that the UK is taking this as some insult? Believe me, if many of us could get rid of Icke, we would... parts of me support the Dutch decision in this, though I have questions over the decision to limit movement based on political belief if they aren't raising crowds to violence.

4

The UK banned at least one EU citizen while we were still members.

Icke had been invited to speak by Samen voor Nederland which has organised the demonstration, ostensibly to protest about the way the 'interests of the Dutch people are being subjugated to the European dictatorship'.

And given that it is Icke, it is a "dictatorship" run by shapeshifting lizards which is his codeword for Jews.

71
Hughjarse•

I understand he's a fucking fruitcake but he's called lots of people lizards, like the queen and her family. Not everything is about the jewish.

Critics have claimed that Icke's reptilians are symbolic representations of Jews, which Icke called "total friggin' nonsense", adding, "this is not a plot on the world by Jewish people".

40

Roughly speaking, evolution has built the human brain with three main parts, the neo cortex, the mammalian cortex and the original reptilian cortex. Each is responsible for different aspects of our psychology, the neo cortex is for planning and high level thought, the mammalian for social interactions and the reptilian for territory, sex and dominance.

We are all reptilian shape shifters after all, depending on which mode of thinking we are primarily in.

Okay, back to the jokes, how only kind, loving and deep thinking people are in control of this planet.

Crazy and racist are not mutually exclusive, he doesn’t have to be faking anything.

He’s a holocaust denier who made a name for himself saying the rothschilds are satanists who drink infants’ blood.

5
WexfordHo•

Yeah. He’s a scumbag, but I still believe that when he says lizards, he means lizards, at least partly because he’s an out-of-the-closet bigot. If he meant “Jews” he’s the sort of prick to just say it outright.

2
resserus•

I think he's crazy but smart. "Shape shifting reptiles" let's you market to UFO people, Nazis, and people that like to hear crazy stories while denying Antisemitism. It's too perfect.

2

I've not heard his name for a long time, so I had a brief look on Wikipedia for a refresher.

While he does like to call all sorts of people lizards, it seems he's rather fond of the book The Protocols of the Elders of Zion. You can read some of his comments on the subject in the Wikipedia section for his book The Robots' Rebellion.

Then there's this quote from him, found here:

I strongly believe that a small Jewish clique which has contempt for the mass of Jewish people worked with non-Jews to create the First World War, the Russian Revolution, and the Second World War… They then dominated the Versailles Peace Conference and created the circumstances which made the Second World War inevitable. They financed Hitler to power in 1933 and made the funds available for his rearmament

It seems that's just the tip of the iceberg.

As for the lizard people, they do exist! We all know [Jane Badler and Robert Englund are really lizards](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/V_(1983_miniseries\)) :)

In all seriousness though, from the end of his article:

In a 2013 survey in the United States by Public Policy Polling, 4% believed that "'lizard people' control our societies"

29

Kenneth Copeland. If anyone is an evil alien lizard in human skin it's that guy.

7

Taking advantage of the sick and in need like that is truly disgusting!

It's rather disturbing, but sadly not surprising, that no matter what is said or proven about such people that the public will continue to flock to them and give them so much time and money. It's like these people just cannot fail.

Preying on people using PR and psychology is vile.

David Icke

Accusations of antisemitism

There is a strong strain of anti-Semitic conspiracy theorizing that makes ufological connections, including especially the work of Milton William Cooper (1991) and David Icke (e. g. , 1997). Both are controversial but still well known in both right-wing conspiracist and ufological subcultures.

V (1983 miniseries)

V (or V: The Original Miniseries) is a two-part American science-fiction television miniseries, written and directed by Kenneth Johnson. First shown in 1983, it initiated the science-fiction franchise concerning aliens known as the "Visitors" trying to gain control of Earth, and of the ways the populace reacts.

This part is kinda true, though. Check out the Haavara Agreement. Basically, Jews around Europe had declared a boycott against the Nazi party in the 1930s. Some Jews decided to be scabs and gave into the Nazis, but were also promised the ability to move to and occupy Palestine.

And now Israel is a right-wing, apartheid, authoritarian shithole whose leaders lean closer to Trump and Bolsonaro than other political philosophies.

The fascist gangsters won.

David Icke in And The Truth Shall Set You Free

Yeah, he's definitely an antisemite.

15

It is fucking scary you got positive votes defending David Icke from antisemitism charges.

“Not everything is about ‘the jewish’.”? Are you fucking kidding me?

You don’t know the first thing about “the jewish” or this guy, then. He’s a fucking world-famous holocaust denier. His conspiracies are classic blood-libel targeting jews with a scifi twist, and they’re still targeting jews. Read the rest of that fucking wikipedia entry. You’re citing a guy saying “no, I’m not racist” about himself and treating that as fact.

7

Maybe he is an Anti Semite, I just don't think his lizard talk has anything to do with that, since you know, he calls lots of rich and influential people lizards.

If you are going to call someone an Anti Semite do it for something that's not "code" for it yeah?

1
apple_kicks•

Tbf someone pointed out many people like Ickes even if they talk of lizards and its not code but they believe literal lizard people. They do tend to swing that Jewish people are secretly lizards which would be antisemitism. This theory comes from serpent seed stuff which is really racist and antisemitic. Even if people later on have different views it’s still there

If people want to know why this theory exists and how it links to antisemitism, sexism and racism etc info below on its mad origins

The doctrine of the serpent seed, also known as the dual-seed or the two-seedline doctrine, is a controversial and fringe Christian religious belief which explains the biblical account of the fall of man by stating that the Serpent mated with Eve in the Garden of Eden, and the offspring of their union was Cain. This event resulted in the creation of two races of people: the wicked descendants of the Serpent who were destined for damnation, and the righteous descendants of Adam who were destined to have eternal life.

During the 19th century, the serpent seed doctrine was revived by American religious leaders who wanted to promote white supremacy. The modern versions of the serpent seed doctrine were developed within the teachings of British Israelism by C. A. L. Totten (1851–1908) and Russel Kelso Carter (1849–1928). Daniel Parker (1781–1844) was also responsible for reviving and promoting the doctrine among Primitive Baptists.[2] Teachers of Christian Identity Theology, which branched off from British Israelism, preached the doctrine during the early twentieth century and promoted it within the Ku Klux Klan, Aryan Nations, the American Nazi Party and other white supremacist organizations. The belief's adherents commonly use it to justify antisemitism and racism by claiming that Jews or members of non-white races are the descendants of Cain and the Serpent, who they variably interpret to be Satan or an intelligent non-human creature which lived before Adam and Eve.[3][4]

The doctrine is frequently used to demonize Jews and people who are members of non-white races and justify their mistreatment, abuse, enslavement or elimination by labeling them Satanic and sub-human. Variations of the doctrine claim that the Serpent's descendants have no souls because they are partially descended from animals and are therefore predestined for damnation. Some groups are markedly militant on the subject because of their millennial teachings, and as a result, they believe that at the end of days, a final battle will be fought in which the pure race will triumph over the impure race.[9][5][6]

The identity of the serpent varies between groups. Some groups claim that the serpent is Satan himself, while other groups claim that the serpent is an animal which is either apelike or human-like. Some groups incorporate Pre-Adamite views which state that the serpent was a non-human creature whose creation predated the creation of Adam.

The identity of the serpent's seed also varies between groups. Aryan Nations, an American anti-semitic, neo-Nazi and white supremacist group, claims that the descendants of the serpent are all people who are not of northern European descent. Other Christian Identity groups claim that the descendants of the serpent are either Jews or Africans. William Branham connected the serpent's descendants with Ham (the biblical progenitor of the African peoples), several Jewish figures, the highly educated, and society's criminals. Arnold Murray connected the descendants of the Serpent with the "Kenites", a group of people which he believed had infiltrated some part of Jewish society.[10] In the Unification Church, the bloodline of all humanity is believed to be contaminated as a result of Eve's relations with the serpent. However, married couples can change their heritages by performing the Holy Marriage Blessing Ceremony which enables them to become the adopted children of their new Adam: Sun Myung Moon.[11]

QAnon. Ideas which are similar to the serpent seed doctrine have also been embraced by some believers in the QAnon conspiracy theory. An example of this is the case of Matthew Taylor Coleman, a California surfing instructor who said that he killed his two young children with a spear fishing gun because he believed that they had inherited “serpent DNA” from their mother and would eventually turn into monsters.[78]

There is a Dutch leader (Baudet) of one of the parties in parliament who openly is supporter of Icke. That alone is reason enough for concern.

Baudet also denied the existence of dinosaurs in a tweet a year ago or so. He has since deleted that tweet. But I find it hilarious, a guy who denies the existence of dinosaurs believes we are being dominated by lizards.

The cabinet has decided to ban British conspiracy theorist David Icke from the Netherlands because he is a threat to public order, government sources have told RTL Nieuws.

The decision to ban Icke was taken because of the 'unrest' which the invitation had generated, and following consultations with the police and the counter-terrorism unit NCTV, RTL said.

Icke had been invited to speak by Samen voor Nederland which has organised the demonstration, ostensibly to protest about the way the 'interests of the Dutch people are being subjugated to the European dictatorship'.
