Reminder ISC2 voting is still open
Voting for the ISC2 Board of Directors is open now and through November 14th.
Voting on the By-Laws proposal is open now through November 19th.
For information on the Board of Directors election, please see this post.
For information on the By-Laws vote, please see this post.
The recommendations of virtually every member I have communicated with are:
- In the Board of Directors election, please write in Wim Remes and vote for nobody else. Information about Mr. Remes can be found here. There were 5 of us ready to be write-in candidates, but in a continuation of shady practices, the current Board is only allowing 1 write-in candidate. The other 4 of us agreed to support Mr. Remes.
- Vote against the proposed By-Laws changes. If you read the post linked above, you should know why. Bottom line is it removes all oversight of the Board by the members.
- Visit https://jsweb.net/isc2 for a set of alternative By-Laws changes that would increase transparency and oversight. Please sign the petition while you are there. When the Board's proposal is voted down, these petitions will be submitted to force a special meeting of the membership to vote on these proposals.
Any questions, please contact me.
