Vintage Transforming Toy Search Help
I’ve been trying to figure out what a certain transforming toy I played with was from my childhood, for a few years now, but I’m all attempts I’ve come up short. This was a toy I had during my years in preschool, some 20+ years ago. So it likely predated the 2000s, and may have been relatively old by the time I played with it at school in America.
What I remember was that it was a white(ish) jet or rocket ship that transformed into a bot. It’s head was within the nosecone of the rocket, and was revealed with the tip of the nosecone was spun 180 degrees. The face itself was completely enclosed beneath a layer of translucent plastic that the nosecone was made up of and was not accessible to touch otherwise. It was one full bot, and wasn’t mad of a combination of components.
Scale is hard to establish, as my memories of it largely are based on how big it looked in my then 4 year old hands. It felt like it might be around 6 or 8 inches tall.
I also vaguely remember another similar transforming toy at this school. So I’m not sure if they came from one set, or just so happened to be from the same company.
I’m not at all sure this is a transformer-branded toy. From what I know of G1 and Beast Wars, nothing of that era looks like what I remembered. There’s a possibility it could be something from the Go Bots, but also could be from a Power Rangers or Voltron toy line. But this is the first place I’m going to try to reach out to, and go from there.
Any ideas or referrals would be appreciated!

Was it the go bot Spay-c?
Was about to comment this very question; the ‘turn nosecone around to reveal head’ transformation sounds a lot like Spay-C. http://gbwiki.shoutwiki.com/wiki/Spay-C#GoBots
