DBG, please just give everyone who logged in today the title

The event got pretty messy. Which isn't the end of the world, life happens and things never go the way you planned. That said, you already have a lot of players annoyed that they couldn't participate due to technical issues. If they're denied the "prize" of the day despite showing up, they're going to be (rightfully, imo) pretty angry.

Easiest fix, just throw the title at everyone who logged in today. I'm certain without a doubt that there are folks who already have their character slots full and didn't want to delete hundreds (thousands?) of hours of work to participate in an event that went to the NA Servers because of PTS server issues.

(and disclaimer, I got on both Emerald Amerish and Connery Indar, so I'm pretty sure I'll get whatever commemorative item we get, but people who get left out for the variety of reasons that sprang up that'd keep a player from joining in today have every right to be upset, and I hope you take care of them and make it right)

I hope the decent performance with the larger number tonight filters down to increased pop caps on live.

I was honestly surprised when the 1236 message popped up on connery because it didn't really feel much different from a prime time saturday, it wasnt even that laggy on the fps.

Same. The stability of the servers with 1000+ pop made me really hopeful for a move to gradually fix the massive 'empty space' problem this game has.

Probably? I hope it gets more definite than that.. I was on early, got booted with everyone else once pop went over 1500, then spent hours in queue for Amerish (while on Esamir) only to get on Amerish again with 14 seconds left in the alert.

Then I got in queue for Indar, only to get on the map just as the alert completed.

Only to get back in queue for Esamir...

Like a lot of people, I don't use twitter, and didn't see the Connery option as I was busy in queue on Emerald. I just want to make sure the effort is rewarded..

Btw did you remember to pump up the hamsters sneakers first?

Some of us were logged on early and ended up being disconnected not too long before the event started, but couldn't log back in, would we be exempt? :(

I was disconnected like 10 minutes before it started but couldn't log in despite trying, I literally got tossed out 2 seconds after making this kill lol

This is timestamped 9 minutes before the "official event start time"

I got to my PC, logged into PTS 5 minute before (joke's on me, it wasn't on PTS, and that whole "news feed" on the side of the launcher did nothing to tell me that!) then when PTS wouldn't work, I checked the subreddit. I tried logging into Emerald ~2 minutes before and could never get in.

I was playing on Cobalt until Wrel logged in (or maybe it was one of the other team members) and made a server announcement that the event was to start in 15 minutes. I booted up PTS but kept playing on Cobalt until our alert ended -- I was disconnected not long after the alert ended so I was like "it's fine I'll just use the PTS now", logged in to find no event, lmao.

And then when I went to login to my main account again I couldn't log in to my account at all so I was just frozen out of getting the title completely

Honestly, at this point their best bet is to reschedule the event in my opinion. Lots of people that wanted to participate didn't get to, and the whole point of the playtest seems to have been stress-testing a feature that's new on PTS right now, which they didn't get to do.

They could at least run a makeup to let us actually get the title.

Does "online" include "tried to log in and never got past the character select screen"? I was never able to get in, on any server, for the duration of the event.

It's a good idea, because in order to participate, I had to create a new account and a char on Emerald. To be honest, I didn't come for the reward, but for the fun, even if I don't get it on main acc.

If you weren't a paying member you likely didn't get onto Amerish this evening for the alert. The queue got into the 300's at some points. There were a lot of people who came early and tried to return again and again, but found themselves shut out. And by the time things stabilized, the queue was ridiculous. It would be unfair to give a prize to people who could get in, but not those who wanted to but where shut out.

This was really not a genuine attempt to break a record, this was a way to stroke their own ego.

If it was, I wouldn't have been sitting in a 300+ player queue into Amerish for an hour, and then being told I get nothing for trying. Meaning they were neither prepared for the test server nor live.

I don't really care about the reward, but in my opinion, the developer doesn't deserve it's community.
