With all the hubbub about rage normalization and whether it's necessary, I think it's worth looking at performance data from TBC and WotLK. All examples here are based on 99th percentile parses - more or less the apex of what classes are capable of.

TBC Raid Tiers:

Serpentshrine Cavern / Tempest Keep - Fury at #3 DPS, ~5% behind #1 DPS, ~20% ahead of #10 "Middle of the Road" DPS

Black Temple / Hyjal - Fury at #1 DPS, ~2% ahead #2 DPS, ~15% ahead of #10 DPS

Sunwell - Fury at #2 DPS, ~2% be

Long story short, traffic on the highway came to a sudden halt, so I hit my brakes to not rear-end the person in front of me. The truck behind me did not hit their brakes and smashed into me from behind, at speed. Thankfully, no life-threatening injuries. My car is almost certainly totaled - major rear damage, and it's 20 years old. It sucks, I love my car, but so it goes.

Where things are really... incredibly aggravating, I've been in touch with the other driver's insurance and while they have not yet formally denied coverage, the adjuster told me over the phone that they think it is unlikely the other driver's liabil

Curious if anyone else has had this and has a fix, I tried googling around and didn't have any luck. Long story short, if I collect a lore item and it's not one of the first things I've done since booting up the game, it locks up and crashes to desktop. I just finished the damn Hermit challenge, whoops no I didn't.

It sucks, this game is very solid aside from the fact that I've lost a total of about three hours of progress from random crashes.

Part of the patch notes say "Conditional outcome tuning to balance character relationships in episodes 7 & 8"

I haven't seen any discussion of what changed, despite digging around, and was curious if anyone knows what changed.

I've completed Room 46, I have 7 of 8 ||Sanctum Keys|| and know where the last one is (I just haven't gotten to it yet), I got all three ||Microchips|| and have removed all of the ||Crates in the tunnel and gotten to The Blue Door.|| I think I've done everything in A New Clue, though god help me that book almost certainly has something tucked away in it that I've overlooked.

I'm just feeling kind of directionless, right now my list of 'mysteries to solve' is ||the Castle puzzle,|| ||the sanctum sigils,|| ||the country order puzzle after I do sanctum sigils,|| and ||figuring out the real treasure trove.|| I know there's more to do with ||the throne room|| but I have absolutely no idea ho

I'm sure everyone on PvP servers has experienced having BRM filled with dozens, if not hundreds, of people camped out and having a grand old time roleplaying as a Revolutionary War infantry gunline.

The BRM event is pretty close to being fantastic (no, seriously), but has a couple fairly fatal flaws. These are primarily that the event has no baked-in mechanics to account for faction balance or for group momentum, and that the moment you leave a dungeon you are essentially helpless and a free kill. Tackling group momentum first, there is a reason that BGs all spawn people in waves. Most team-based shooters respawn people in waves, and Valve has talked about it being an integral part of the d

Since someone asked, I'm editing im a summary of info we have that is public knowledge.

11/28/22, u/G1ngerboy posted a comparison between the Trickster Helmet in the 10 year anniversary bundle for the VS and (as best I can tell) concept art for a TR cat ear helmet that I assume was rejected from the store. The comparison is captioned "Which of these 2 do you think fits the games art style better and would make more money if sold individually? also which is less polarizing do you think?"

The event got pretty messy. Which isn't the end of the world, life happens and things never go the way you planned. That said, you already have a lot of players annoyed that they couldn't participate due to technical issues. If they're denied the "prize" of the day despite showing up, they're going to be (rightfully, imo) pretty angry.

Easiest fix, just throw the title at everyone who logged in today. I'm certain without a doubt that there are folks who already have their character slots full and didn't want to delete hundreds (thousands?) of hours of work to participate in an event that went to the NA Servers because of PTS server issues.

I've hardly touched the game in about seven years and recently reinstalled it and have been having an amazing time even though I have no idea what the hell is going on. Other than having some functional certs (flak armor at 3 and medic tool at 4, a couple weapon sights and foregrips) I have a nearly fresh character, and I have about as much knowledge as a newbie does (my knowledge of bases is "Bio-Domes hate vehicles... capture points to take bases... shoot lots?"). Most of what I know about the current game is from reading people's posts on here about the state of the game. I've gotten bolted, shotgunned, tanked, MAXed, and absolutely reamed by BR100 heavies who proceeded to kill me and fou

Self-explanatory ideas. 210 instances per week means you won't hit the instance cap unless you're farming instances over forty hours a week, without hurting the many players who want to binge grind all their stuff each week on their days off.

I honestly don't know how this wasn't the idea in the first place, given how readily it sidesteps one of the most majorly glaring problems with 30 instances per day without reducing the impact it has on bots that run all day and night.

I think the reasoning for the realm cap is obvious, but for the sake of clarity, 30 instances per day per realm simply means that botters will just run accounts between four realms to keep them operating 24 hours a day.

As per the title, I have a ton of trouble handling Meditrapper Guards. It generally feels like I need to (roughly) trade cooldown for cooldown with them, except that they have twice as many good cooldowns to burn through as I do between F1-F3 and their ability to refresh F1-F3. Most fights just feel like they block forever, heal to full three or four times, and by the time I'm out of cooldowns they've still got another heal and another block ready to go and I'm on my last legs.

Other than stunning them then spiking them with power damage is there any good way to deal with them? I'm open to picking up new classes, I'm in the mood to hunt Dragonhunters for basically the entirety of S5. I
