Anyone else notice the abundance of low end employees filling professional positions nowadays?

It's like employers can't pay enough for good employees any more so they're stuck hiring from the bottom rung, slim pickens indeed .

They're not "stuck". They just don't want to pay a fair price.

But they don't get the salaries that should go with the jobs, right?

Truer but once you jump to a competitor, you should be able to command the correct pay

I was working for a small (4 employee) business as a Systems Admin for local business. When I didn’t have appointments, I was assigned to work on repairs for in shop customers. I was graduating college and very open that I was leaving the day I finished classes, so my boss hired a replacement 6 months ahead of time to get her up to speed. This was after getting rejected by every other applicant for pay being so severely low.

This person is the epitome of lying on your resume and sucking at your job. Literally has zero computer knowledge despite having an associates (in Networking).

One year into her employment, my old coworkers are still telling me she’s completely incompetent down to literally only being able to watch Windows Updates while on her phone. Any computer repair she attempts she breaks parts causing the company to need to come more parts.

The definition of “low end”.

Yes... This has been going on for a while... Employers don't want to pay for an educated professional because they have goals and expectations.... Far easier to find a baglicker at the bottom rung who is thirsty enough to do the job far cheaper than someone with legit qualifications...

This is how terrible managers are bred.

That has been at the company I work for the entire time I've been here.
