Childrens fantasy series that has an antagonist group with a symbol like the Dark Brotherhood's
I read this series in elementary/middle school (2002-2006ish somewhere in there). The series had probably around 8-10 books in it, and they were pretty short. The enemy faction had a symbol of a hand or something similar, much like the Dark Brotherhood's from Skyrim. The protags were travelling around the world looking for something, and they would fight creatures. The only specific one I remember had a large scary winged creature on the cover, that was one of the things they had to face. The winged things were colorful but malicious in the books.

Deltora Quest by Emily Rodda?
Bit of a stretch, I feel. But the artwork on all the covers is extremely colourful, with a few being winged, and the Shadow Lord uses the brand of a hand as his symbol. The main party were also travelling Deltora to find various items in all three series.
Holy shit! Thats the one! Thank you so much!
Happy to help! I reborrowed the individual books for this series so, so many times as a child. Many a happy memory of reading them by a dim light under my blankets after bed time, and looking at the covers.
Same here! I can't believe I could forget the name of the series so integral to my childhood; thank you so much for helping me rediscover them!
