The Warden
The bonds are breaking from across the shore.
Serenity once felt, but is known no more.
The darkness roars with its ominous energy.
Lighting strikes and pierces right through me.
Illuminating that which is always kept hidden.
Self-love, peace, happiness - always forbidden.
I built my own prison. They call me The Warden.
The sentence and crime always out of proportion.
My mind stays entangled in different realities.
I'll give you my word but I talk in generalities.
Do not trust me. I will always let you down.
Every truth ever uttered I begin to confound.
The shape of my being is always mercurial.
Each new personality is another's reburial.
