Moonlight//Heaven
As I sit under the garden of moonlight
I stare at her shimmering silver gleam
Her eyes don't shine like yours, try as she might;
Though I haven't seen yours since that dream.
Can a heart so fragile still love?
Still share, still care?
Is it okay for me to move on?
Am I allowed to turn the page?
Seems unfair that only I can answer these questions,
Unfair that they hound me so,
You dance, charm me, you float without tension.
I am in love yes, but for the first time,
I'm not in love with the idea of you.
Watch the shimmering silvery moonlight subside,
Try as she might... you. There's only you.
. . .
The sun, a fireball, igniting the afternoon sky
The sunset, liquid fire pouring from the clouds
Water's so good, it wants to join us
There isn't a lot I'd like to say, not this instant
But if there is no God,
This moment with you might as well be heaven.
