Short thing I wrote

I'm a complete beginner so even the most basic tips would be useful :)

I move slowly with much effort,

there's rarely lightness in my stride

​

An apt metaphor is a desert,

with its oases acting as my guide

​

I briskly set out from these rest stops invigorated

But the endless sand soon has me feeling deflated

​

Too far in between, I think

Yet I trudge along, alone and unseen

wish I had sunscreen, or something to drink
