Actually Feist was one I was excited about. I have only owned a couple new vinyl albums and The Reminder was one of them. I've had one of her CDs before too. Spacehog I was excited about as well as all the Alice In Chains. My kid just started getting into vinyl and he has a CD player but no cds so he will end up with a lot. I'd have driven there for the crate. And, yes. Ontario. A stack of loose ones too.

Not to mention Big Shiny Tunes.

That matt good live disc is worth a decent amount. Usually $50 - $100 these days.

3
StereoStereo1981•

The David Usher album was also a big tell.

Big shiny tunes and big sugar gave it up right away

Pearl Jam, soundgarden, singles soundtrack, nirvana.. good haul

The live matt good cd can bring in about $50 - $75 - there is some great stuff here - I would love to have been able to buy this lot.

Does the audio of being have the slip case and the lyric book inside called "a pleasurable headache"?

That Nevending white lights disc is great as is Spirtual Machines by OLP.

The big shiny tunes comps are getting harder to find.

This is I am Canadian and went to high school in the 90s right here - wish I had found this lot.

I couldn't believe it. Messaged the guy and said if this is available I'm on my way. He messaged back saying someone else had stopped responding to him so I could have them in the morning. I was nervous to miss out so I asked to go last night and he said he was putting his daughter to bed but they'd be there in the morning. I said I wasn't a morning person so it wouldn't be right away. At like 10:10 he asked if I'd still be making it and I woke up like 2 minutes later and said I'd be there in 20 minutes. Asked if I could get him a coffee or anything and he declined. Got there and he said he had spent time last night making sure all the cases had the correct cd. Great interaction.

Where have you seen prices like that for the Matt Good CD?

Literally everything is worth a listen. Definitely try weezer. These are all gold and you should consider selling or gifting the ones you don't want.

3971_KTLOP•

My son is gonna get a lot. Tell him this was the 90s.

3
[deleted]•

If your son is anything like me he is going to be very happy. You scored big time with this lot.

4
3971_KTLOP•

He loves thrash metal but his best friend tries to push Nirvana on him. I preferred Alice In Chains myself. I'm sure he will dig a lot of this.

5
[deleted]•

Yeah he'll probably like most of it. You and your son are very cool.

Cat Power is good, also the Doors live at Toronto is a fun disc. If I remember right, Albert King plays with them for that show

That album they have is SO BAD though. Makes me shiver it’s so terrible-

edit:Cat power cd, in this case

Apart from albums that have already been singled out by other comments, just adding that Diorama by Silverchair is absolutely top-tier. Great haul!

4
3971_KTLOP•

Always loved Frogstomp but didn't follow their career after that. Neon Ballroom is in there too.

2
music411•

Neon ballroom is only Ok in my opinion but Diorama is amazing. It’s wildly different from Frogstomp. When you listen to it think of it as an entirely different band. Do NOT think of frogstomp when you listen.
It’s one of my favorite underrated unheard albums. Most Americans stopped listening to silver hair after frogstomp.

1
fruppaguff•

You’ve got the Singles soundtrack. You’re set.

4
3971_KTLOP•

Opens with Would? Thats all I need to know. If you dig that song check out Opeth's cover. Very true to the original.

3
fruppaguff•

Yeah! Love Opeth’s version.

2
3971_KTLOP•

I'll have to check out the track listing.

2
fruppaguff•

You got a good haul there - enjoy! And don’t sleep on that Stone Roses cd. Good stuff!

2
3971_KTLOP•

I'll try to hear it all. So much I was aware of when it came out but didn't listen to.

1
3971_KTLOP•

Just watched the trailer... is the movie better?

1
fruppaguff•

The movie is okay but I love that soundtrack. It was a constant listen back in the day.

1
3971_KTLOP•

I only know a couple tracks but know the artists. I'll check it out.

1
Jkiller2007•

My favorites are Led Zeppelin, Oasis, Nirvana and Alice In Chains

4
3971_KTLOP•

Zeppelin seemed out of place to me. One of the Liam Gallagher albums is still sealed.

3
Jkiller2007•

Damn I didn’t noticed that.

3
m8x8•

Garbage, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine Inch Nails, Nirvana! Lucky you! Zeitgeist is actually a great album and not available on streaming platforms at all! So owning the CD is just perfect :)

4
m8x8•

I love Freakshow by Silverchair too.

3
3971_KTLOP•

That Garbage album was one of my first CDs ever.

4
m8x8•

Mine was Version 2.0! Which led to me buying their debut album etc.

2
Oubilettor•

Grade was a great band. How stoked were you to get all these for free!?

3

this is like 85% good stuff, yeah.

3
[deleted]•

Please do try to listen to everything here because they're all wonderful and I guarantee you'll find at least one CD you'll wanna keep.

3
3971_KTLOP•

For sure. There already are some. The stack of loose ones had some good stuff too. A lot of these albums I had always heard were great but never listened to. My buddy is a big Pearl Jam fan so he was impressed.
