Liquor Stores. If it can hold 12+ bottles without breaking it can haul your stuff around just fine.

I know that burtons liquor always has a ton of boxes.

I’m sure there are tons of options depending on your location, but the booze shop at 41st and Peoria next to Reasors just sets theirs out in front of the store. If you don’t see any out, go in and ask them.

No matter the question in life, the answer is quite often "the liquor store."

The M.E.T. Recycling Center in BA keeps moving boxes (like you'd get at Lowe's/HD) for anyone to reuse. Probably worth calling first if you don't live nearby. It's been a few years, but I assume they still do this.

Careful reusing grocery store boxes. Lots of critters running around those back rooms and warehouses. Worked in several grocery stores growing up and every one of them had cockroaches. Just the cost of doing business I suppose.

Add others have said, liquor stores. Also restaurants/fast food places. I would just start calling the places closest to you. They should be able to tell when the best time to come by is.

Dollar General usually breaks down their boxes and put them behind the stores in these big silver racks. If you see one that has one, just ask and they'll let you take what you need.

Go ask restaurants

Ask a pharmacy in any box store. We get in a lot of boxes each day and it’s an absolute pain to take them all to the back. They’ll probably appreciate you taking them

Printing companies. They'll usually have a bunch of nice boxes with lids that the paper reams came in. Can probably get more than you need if they haven't already given out their current extras.

Walmart in the morning before 7-8am. Go to toys, pharmacy, or housewares

Uhaul has a box swap. I must have dropped off hundreds of them there over the years.

IMO sometimes it’s actually easier to just get them from Lowes or Home Depot (easier to stack and pretty cheap)

Literally any factory in town. Call the front desk and ask. You might have to break them down yourself.
