I have a newly minted four year old with recent (dubious) mastery of the “big kid bike” along with two nine year olds who love biking multi-use trails and bike trails. We live in what seems like the only spot in Oakland Co that doesn’t connect to a trail without crossing a significant amount of road with no sidewalks or bike lanes.

I’ve got a bike rack to get all our gear wherever we need to go, but I don’t know many of the trails around. We’ve been to Bald Mountain and Innovation Hills and the trails around Clintonville/Maybee but are looking for some more fun places to bike.

Where do you go for family friendly biking?

I have twins who are 4, a third kid due in a few weeks. Right now we live about 40 minutes from my hometown, my parents, and the vast majority of my extended family. Family has always been pretty close, though less so over the past few years.

My partner and I have decided that this very red state is not where we want to raise our kids and are planning to move nearer to his family, about 1000 miles away. This move isn’t immediate, but within the next year or so.

I have no idea how to break this news to my family, especially my parents. Anyone been through this?

I’m due with kid #3 in about six weeks. We’ve been settled on a boy name for a while, especially since my twins both turned out to be girls…we had some boy names in reserve.

Girl names have been tougher. We’re waffling between Maeve Irene and Indie Rose. Middle names are honor names, which is pretty traditional in both our families. We’re happy with both but haven’t had that feeling that one is right. So we’re open to ideas too.

Siblings are Freya Jane and River Jane.

Hey fellow parents of small people. My kids have been OBSESSED with astronomy for a while and ask to listen to the Storybots planets album daily. I love it too, the songs are catchy and not super annoying.

My problem is, I can’t figure out who is singing them. I know a couple of the planets’ voices sound really familiar but I have had no luck at all figuring out who they are. Anybody have the inside scoop? Or just want to wildly speculate with me? I’ll save my suspicions for a comment so I don’t influence anyone.

My 3yo twins are VERY into showers lately, and either my partner or I shower with them. Last night it was daddy shower and while they were drying off, one of them asks, "Daddy, when do I get that butt in the front that jiggles with hair on it?"

Testicles. They're testicles.

Hey all -

I’m working on getting back to something that might resemble normal with my current employment and, as I started full time about a month before the world went sideways, I wondered what those of you working full time in private practice have as far as caseload.

How many patients do you see per day? How long are your sessions? What’s your total caseload? How much time do you spend each day working on documentation and paperwork? And, where do you do most of your documentation?

Thanks so much!
