Love how this is able to get an emotional response in a poem shorter than Im able to explain this, powerful af. x

I like this, my mind is running wild with just these 4 lines. Very creative! Good exercise to write these shorter poems and can fuel taking this further into other creative writing sessions

Glad it landed! It's a brand that has particular meaning to me too, very popular with a certain crowd in my college years.

My goodness that was a ton of fun packed into four sweet lines! The double meaning of American Spirit serves the poem well in its brevity.

Yeah this is my poem of the year pick for sure.

Wasn't expecting something so dark and twisted, and sad, and so short too. Great job

This really gave me a kick in the balls. I can't stop reading it and I don't know why. This might be the shortest poem I have ever seen on here but it has give me one of the largest emotional responses. Excellent

"Can I burn you with my cigarette?"  
She asks,  
And I gasp  
"God, it feels good to be desired."
