I’m guessing lactose intolerant or dairy allergy?

My son was allergic to egg and is lactose intolerant we got funny looks after he ate a roast dinner or chicken and chips at restaurants then asking if they had any vegan desserts!

Yep, my daughter has a dairy allergy. So annoying as we had to order somewhere else due to their refusal to add vegan cheese to a chicken and bacon pizza.

I’m guessing you can’t order a plain vegan margherita then add extra toppings of meat? I’m wondering if the vegan pizza is more expensive because of the special “cheese” so they wouldn’t do it the other way round?

I'm guessing not as it's often custom chosen pizza. My partner called the place to see if they could make it special but their response was "I guess she can no longer have it then".

I’m lactose intolerant and hate this sort of thing but it does have a good reason.

I am told that in the kitchen they have a zone with no dairy and meat, then they have the zone with dairy and meat. It’s all just to prevent cross contamination for those with allergies and for vegans. It’s strict otherwise they wind up needing extra zones for yes meat but no dairy and for no meat but yes dairy.

I think it was always hit and miss if they let you. My local Dominoes never would. But yeah, if you're an allergy sufferer, it's shit :( I wish there were more just DF options rather than having to go full vegan.

Sorry, I meant normal meat and vegan cheese. They allow vegan cheese but only if you don't have meat

We were having this exact conversation in the GC yesterday about burger king and subway. How strange

Lactose intolerance. My previous partner used to do exactly this.

Because my daughter has a dairy allergy. So she had to choose whether she wanted cheese or her usual chicken and bacon
