Child of Divorce
Their love was a castle by the sea
Built from sand, hand carved carefully
With shells and glass shard decor
That sparkled in the summer sun
The princess was I
They played by my side
In the castle I adored
.
Take a closer look and you will see
Their castle was made ruefully
And built too close to harbored shores
Storm clouds brewed when the day was done
In the blink of an eye
In came the high tide
And the castle was no more
.
Any suggestions on how I can make this poem better would be greatly appreciated.
