the sky and the earth
I wonder what the sky feels for the earth
Being away from it
Sheltering it without letting anyone know its pain
Isnt this the purest form of love
Knowing they’ll never meet
Yet protecting it from everything
Why does it quench the thirst of the earth
To remain thirsty itself
Why does it give away the warmth
To remain cold itself
Isnt this the purest form of love
Knowing they’ll never meet
Yet giving away everything
Only to live a life filled with vacuum
The immeasurable distance between them
Doesn’t it hurt?
The inability to express its love
Doesn’t it hurt?
It still loves the earth
With all its heart
Isnt this the purest form of love
Knowing they’ll never meet
Yet protecting the love in its heart
As long as the sun kindles joy
As long as the rain nurtures life
The sky will love the earth
Even though they’ll never meet
The sky will love the earth
Even if its left with nothing at the end
The sky will love the earth
