Thoughts on a Sunday morning

Poem

Don’t do this sort of thing often, but I jotted down some thoughts this morning and felt like I might share them here

As your hands reach back and stroke my hair,

And your head tilts, offering your lips

The truth almost slips out for the seventh time.

And when I wake, you are sleeping

My fingers find the small dimple

In your side, just below your breast,

Where they settle,

And I know that I am lost.
