VSC and Trac come on automatically with check engine light, you need to read the codes. Could be expensive, could be simple. No way to know without reading error codes

Always check to see if your gas cap is tight.

Yup. The same lights were on my 05 4Runner V8 Limited. I cleaned the gas cap with WD40 and tightened it. All the lights were gone the day after.

Mine went off when the battery was low until I replaced it.

As already stated on this thread, the VSC and traction control will automatically come on when your check engine light comes on. It’s possible some oil maybe got onto one of the sensors, but I’ve never had that happened to me and trust me, I’ve made a damn mess a couple times! I use a BlueDriver to check all my codes, etc. but you can go to the auto parts store and they can plug it in and tell you what it says.
