Loneliness is a Thing With Webs
Loneliness is a thing with webs-
Lurking in the corner
Meeting few flies and bugs-
Creatures only foreigner
It spins a tapestry of patience
An ode to it’s time alone
Hidden at the top of an attic,
Only existing- unknown.

This was inspired by Emily Dickinson's Hope is the Thing With Feathers. I wrote it from a writing exercise during a literary class- the assignment was to write the poem in the style of Hope is the Thing With Feathers. (Technically I need to write a third stanza... I'd love any suggestions or overall feedback in general!)
