Bizarre! According to ssa.gov, Rowan just broke the top 300 in 2013/2014 for boys… for girls, Rowan was still in the 400s… having 5 Rowan’s in your class is such a coincidence! And perhaps indicative of name trends not being homogeneous throughout the US.

I have really been liking the names Murray & Carly recently. Also pleasantly surprised to see Joyce on this list!

Deen and Dean are actually two different names!
Dean is an Anglo-Saxon surname, and Deen is an anglicized version of Din, which is an Arabic name.
